Struggling with Skin Concerns?
IPL Photofacials can provide relief from a wide range of skin concerns. This potent procedure heats your skin to improve your tone and reduce surface imperfections associated with aging and photodamage such as redness, veins, and lightly pigmented brown spots. IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light; our technique takes advantage of the latest in skincare technology by utilizing multiple wavelengths that target cells beneath the surface of your skin. These wavelengths help remove hyperactive melanin-producing cells, resulting in a more uniform facial appearance.
What Do IPL Photofacials Address?
IPL Photofacials are designed to treat a wide variety of skin conditions. At Estheva Med Spa, we use XEO® Limelight and ND Yag to address redness, spider veins, and lightly pigmented brown spots using this treatment method. When you arrive at our med spa, we will offer you a thorough evaluation to determine whether this treatment is the best fit for your needs.
Am I a Candidate?
Our team of clinical skin experts will customize your IPL Photofacial to your skin type and selectively treat the brown and/or red pigmented areas. The treatment reduces multiple signs of sun damage, including rosacea, redness and red patches, brown and red spots, freckles, pigment or complexion imperfections, and ultraviolet damage. Should you have any of these concerns, IPL Photofacials might be right for you.
How Does IPL Work?
Treatment time depends on the size and number of areas treated, but it generally takes one hour to perform the entire procedure. There may be momentary discomfort, which is assuaged with a cooling gel that helps relieve it. Following your treatment, brown spots will immediately darken and skin may appear slightly red. Any redness will dissipate within a few hours. Within 1-3 weeks, the darkened spots will flake off and fade, redness or veins will decrease, and skin tone will become much more even.
How Long Do IPL Photofacial Results Last?
1-3 treatments are usually needed to see results; however, additional treatments may be recommended for excessively sun-damaged skin. To avoid new brown spots, veins, and to diffuse redness, remember to always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen every day. We also offer a series of treatments for the best results. IPL Photofacial treatments can be done on the arms, legs, shoulders, chest, neck, hands, and face.
